WOW! I just received an email from a teacher advisor of Nanyang Chronicle Newspaper. Below is just a little insight about Nanyang Chronicle!

The Nanyang Chronicle (《南洋纪事报》) is a student-run campus newspaper published by the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University. It is published once every three weeks during NTU's semesters.

The Chronicle started publication in July 1994, with the aim of providing timely campus news and information, as well as being the voice of the campus population. The paper also provides practical training for undergraduates who are keen to work in the field of journalism after graduation.

Its totally cool because this time, it is open to all students. I'm gonna go for the open house and find out more about them. It might be a good platform for me. Besides, they are gonna give me 2 AUs if i join them. =)

Had my first shoot in service on the 29 August 2010. Its not as easy as i thought it would be. But well, practice makes perfect doesnt it? =)

There's actually so much to take note of in a picture. It was especially tough in service as compared to a normal shoot with friends or a hangout. In service, the lightings are dim, sometimes there's a sudden burst of light. Certain areas, the lights are so bright. Red and Yellow lights makes it difficult to capture a good photograph. Thus by just looking at this post, you should have already guessed my pictures didnt turn out good. Some is over exposed, some under exposed. Some looks too soft due to the lightings problems i faced. Some blur shots as the subject moves too quickly before i could shoot them.

Not gonna post all the photos anywhere because of its privacy and confidentiality. But i just wanna share two of the shots that i took that day.

I really like this shot. However, this photo is over exposed at the stage area. Its too bright so it isnt a good shot. =(

I kinda also like this shot cos it gives me the concert feeling. Haha. =)

SEE! I have so much more to work for. But i know, learning never stops. Anyone may be just shooting for 3-5 years, but still there's always room for improvements.

What says a thousand words? An essay? A speech? Its a picture or rather, a photograph! Well, I am not a professional photographer. But I believe skills comes with practice and I so wanna practice shooting! Been really inspired by Jim, the things that he taught, said and even the photos he took.

"Passion is what makes the world change." - Jim Orca
"We worship God with our media." - Jim Orca

This two sentences really caught my attention and got me thinking these few days. Not just the thinking, but the doing as well. All these talents and blessings that's upon my life, I wanna make good use of it. I dont just want to be a jack of all trades and master of none. Somehow, i will excel somewhere! Perhaps, it all begins with a word, passion. Where it leads me, thats where i'll go.
